Corrections Policy
BerkeleyHeights.news corrects supported factual errors and makes material changes visible to readers.
Request a correction
Email tommaciejewski@yahoo.com with the page URL, the exact passage at issue, the requested correction, and a source that supports it. If the issue concerns a public meeting, identify the meeting date and a recording timestamp or agenda item when possible.
What happens next
The editor reviews the cited material, checks the strongest available primary record, and may ask for additional context. A correction changes a factual error. A clarification explains wording that could mislead without being literally false. An update adds later information without implying the earlier version was wrong.
How changes are disclosed
Material corrections are noted on the affected page with an explanation of what changed. Minor spelling, punctuation, formatting, broken-link, or typographical fixes that do not alter meaning may be made without a correction note. Removing accurate information simply because it is unfavorable is not a correction.
Source-record changes
Official pages and documents can be replaced, amended, or removed. When a source changes, the publication may update its link, preserve a lawful archived copy, or add a note explaining the difference. The current official record controls when it clearly supersedes an earlier draft.
